Enjoy the Pro-Form Pergolas difference

Pro-Form Pergolas is dedicated to delivering unique custom designs, high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

We are a family owned and operated business.  With no pushy commission-based sales people or high-pressure sales tactics, we give you our best possible price up front, from the beginning. We encourage you to take your time, to obtain other quotes and make a fully informed decision before signing up, because we understand that this is a big decision.  For this reason, all Pro-Form quotes are valid for a full 30 days.

You can enjoy friendly, honest and reliable service and advice, dealing directly with the owner Richard, from start to finish.  You will be impressed by Richards vast building and planning knowledge around Adelaide and his distinct, natural flair for designing outdoor solutions to suit any situation.

The Pro-Form process – from initial consultation to final build…

Step 1

A conversation…

The first step involves a simple conversation, just call or email us to get things started. Tell us your address, contact details and roughly what you’re looking for – eg: the type of structure, rough size and where you would like it located on your property. We will then provide you with valuable, location-specific advice, suitable design options and pricing to help guide you.

Step 2

Site visit & design consultation

If you feel like our design suggestions and pricing might be what you are looking for, we will then come and meet with you on site for a FREE, no obligation, comprehensive design consultation, full site assessment and formal quote.

We will bring plenty of examples of our work, material samples and information, building design ideas and expert planning advice specific to your local council area and zone. We will discuss with you in depth your personal needs and preferences, how you plan to use your space, and offer suggestions and advice to help you achieve both your current and long-term goals.

Step 3

Formal Quote

Soon after our site visit, you’ll receive a formal quotation pack that brings your custom Pro-Form Pergola project to life. The proposal contains the following documentation:

  • An overhead site plan showing exactly how your new space will integrate with your existing home and landscape.
  • A 3D elevation drawing with exact dimensions so you can visualise your proposed project and feel confident in the design.
  • Any optional extras you may be considering, such as privacy screens, decking, café blinds or material upgrades will be itemised and priced separately. You may select the optional extras that suit your budget or take advantage of a discounted full “package” price offer, for the ultimate luxury experience. The choice is yours!
  • A copy of our full Terms & Conditions, an Acceptance of Quotation form and any other relevant information and brochures will also be included in your quotation package.

Step 4

Take your time to decide, we’re not going anywhere…

We genuinely encourage our clients to get a second or even third quote. When you’re investing in a custom outdoor transformation, you should feel completely confident in your choice. You won’t find sales gimmicks or inflated pricing with us; just honest, straightforward advice, exceptional value, and the kind of quality workmanship that adds lasting value to your home.

Every Pro-Form Pergolas formal quote is valid for a full 30 days, so take your time, explore your options and feel confident in your decision.

Don’t forget, Richard is always available to address follow-up questions, make design adjustments, or discuss any concerns you may have. We believe the right decision is one made with knowledge and confidence, not haste or unnecessary pressure. If you’d like to adjust the design or explore different options after thinking it over, we’ll happily revisit everything with you.

Step 5

Let’s get the ball rolling…

Once you’re ready to proceed with your project, we will ask you to complete, sign and return the Acceptance of Quotation form in your pack and pay a small deposit (just 10%, capped at $1,000), a modest commitment that secures your place in our schedule and marks the beginning of your journey toward your dream outdoor space.

Once your Acceptance form and Deposit is received, we will send you a copy of your job order and receipt for payment.

Now, just sit back and relax while we take care of everything for you.

Step 6

Council Application

Your job is now ready for submission to council. This step is an essential legal requirement and can be a confusing and time-consuming exercise for many homeowners – that’s why we take care of it for you!

Once your contract is signed…

  • We will begin preparing your council application, handling all associated paperwork, drafting, engineering, fees, and follow-ups as required to achieve full Building and Planning Approval for your project.
  • Building & Planning Approval can take up to 6-8 weeks, but don’t worry, we will monitor progress and keep you informed along the way.

At this point, you can start imagining all the ways you will enjoy your new outdoor living space!

Step 7

Council Approval Granted!

Once we have received full Building and Planning Approval for your project, it’s time to start co-ordinating your project.

We will give you a call to confirm the following:

  • your design and any variables or optional extras chosen
  • your final colour and material choices
  • a suitable date for delivery of your materials
  • a suitable date to commence building of your project

At this point we will ask for a Progress Payment (as agreed in your Acceptance of Quotation), to be paid on delivery of your materials.

You’ll be one step closer to enjoying your new outdoor space.

Step 8

Delivery of Materials

All building materials are delivered on your chosen day, arriving direct from our suppliers.

Your progress payment is made at this point, reflecting our commitment to transparency and your confidence in seeing quality materials arrive at your door. You’ll see firsthand the calibre of quality components that will create your lasting outdoor investment.

Step 9

Building & Construction Phase

You will be contacted a day or two prior to commencement of building to confirm what time you can expect our professional team to arrive on site. You do not need to be home during the construction phase; however we do recommend meeting with our team on the first day just to run through all the details.

Please note: Your construction date may vary slightly due to any unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather or sickness, however in most cases commencement shall go ahead as planned.

Our team of fully licenced and insured trades people will then begin making your project come to life.

The average build takes:

  • Smaller pergolas or verandahs generally take around 1-3 days, with minimal disruption to your routine.
  • Larger or more complex structures can take a week or so depending on size and complexity involved.

Throughout the construction process, we maintain a clean and safe worksite, keeping you informed of daily progress.

Step 10

Finishing Touches & Optional Extras

Once the building phase is complete, it’s time to add any optional extras you may have chosen, such as professional painting, oiling or cafe blinds.

As with the building phase, you will be contacted prior to the arrival of other relevant trade professionals such as painters or installers who will confirm their commencement dates and times with you.

You may have chosen:

  • Professional Painting  –  an optional, purely cosmetic choice which allows you to match your structure seamlessly with the existing colour scheme of your home. Our professional painter will fill and sand any natural imperfections prior to painting to give your structure a sleek, smooth look.
  • Deck Oiling – will enhance the rich natural look of your deck while adding extra protection and longevity. A relatively simple process, you may choose to do it yourself to save money (following our easy instruction guide) or you can have our professional team do it for you!
  • Café blinds  – will add privacy and protection from the sun, wind and rain for year-round comfort. If included in your package, café blind installation will be the last phase to be completed.

Your Final Balance is due upon completion of your project.

We take pride in leaving your property cleaner than we found it, with your new outdoor space ready for your immediate enjoyment.
